Overview

Transition Allies is designed to help veterans and transitioning service members plan their next steps. This policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Information we store

If you use Transition Allies without an account, your Mission Assessment, Mission Plan, saved resources, and progress stay on your own device in browser storage. Nothing is sent to us.

If you create a member account, we store your email address, your assessment answers, your Mission Plan and task progress, your preferences, and your saved resources in a private account record. Your password is never stored by Transition Allies — it is handled by our authentication provider, which keeps only a secure hash.

Who can see your data

Only you. Access rules are enforced in the database itself, so every record is locked to the account that owns it.

Administrators can see your email address and account status so they can operate the platform, suspend abusive accounts, and respond to reports. Administrators cannot read your assessment answers, Mission Plan, task progress, preferences, or saved resources. Sensitive administrative actions — role changes, suspensions, and access to member listings — are recorded in an audit trail.

How we use information

We use stored information only to provide the service to you: building your plan, showing relevant resources, tracking your progress, and generating exports. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.

Your choices

You can reset or clear your plan at any time from the Mission Plan page, and clearing your browser storage removes all device-stored data.

With an account, Account settings lets you download a complete copy of your data as a file and permanently delete your account and everything in it. Deletion cannot be undone. For your protection, signed-in sessions expire after a period of inactivity.
