Do I need an account?

No account is required for the public parts of the site. Resources, Local Help, Emergency Help, pricing, and our policy pages are open to everyone. An account allows members to use personalized features such as the Mission Assessment, their Mission Plan, task progress tracking, saved resources, and account preferences.

Is Transition Allies part of the VA or Department of Defense?

No. Transition Allies is an independent platform and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of Defense, or any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces. Transition Allies is a service operated by Napier Ventures LLC.

What is a Mission Plan?

A Mission Plan is a personalized roadmap designed to help members identify priorities, actionable next steps, and useful resources based on their transition situation.

Can I update my Mission Plan?

Yes. You can mark tasks as in progress or complete at any time, and your progress is saved. To change the plan itself, retake the Mission Assessment from My Mission. Your answers are pre-filled, and saving a new assessment regenerates the plan from your updated answers.

Will resetting my Mission Plan delete everything?

Resetting removes your saved assessment answers, your generated Mission Plan, and your task progress, and returns you to the start of the Mission Assessment. That action cannot be undone. Resetting does not remove your account, your sign-in details, your account preferences, or your saved resources — those are stored separately and remain available.

Where do Transition Allies resources come from?

Transition Allies organizes and links to information from government agencies, nonprofit organizations, veteran-service organizations, educational institutions, community organizations, employers, and other relevant sources. Linked organizations are independent of Transition Allies, and their programs, eligibility rules, and contact details are set by them.

Does Transition Allies charge for public veteran information?

No. Essential public veteran resources and emergency information remain accessible without payment. Paid Transition Allies features provide additional personalization, organization, convenience, progress management, and premium tools — not access to information that is already public.

Can I report an outdated or incorrect resource?

Yes, and we appreciate it. Use the Contact Us page and choose the “Report a Resource” topic so it reaches the right place.

How do I create an account?

Select Sign in from the header, then choose Create account. You provide your first name, an optional middle name, your last name, your email address, and a password. We send a verification email to confirm your address. Open that email and follow the link before signing in.

How do I reset my password?

On the sign-in page, choose “Forgot password?” and enter your email address. If an account exists for that address, we email a secure reset link. Opening the link brings you to a page where you can set a new password, and you are signed in afterwards.

How is my information protected?

Member information sits behind authenticated access controls. You must be signed in to reach member features, and members are only permitted to access their own private account information. Access rules are enforced on the server, not just hidden in the interface, and inactive sessions time out automatically.

How do I sign out?

Open the account menu in the site header (or the menu panel on mobile) and choose Sign out. On-device plan data for the session is cleared when you sign out.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Account, scroll to the data section, type DELETE to confirm, and select “Permanently delete account.” This removes your account and the member data stored with it, and cannot be undone. You can export a copy of your data from the same page before deleting.

Free costs $0 and provides useful core transition-support functionality: the Mission Assessment, a basic Mission Plan, resources, local help, and emergency information.

What is Transition Allies Plus?

Plus memberships are coming soon. Free membership and the current Free Mission Plan features are available now. When it opens, Transition Allies Plus will be $9.99 per month or $99 per year (the annual option is the best value and saves $20.88 compared with paying monthly). Plus focuses on additional personalization, organization, progress management, and premium tools — including your full Mission Plan rather than a limited preview. Some premium capabilities, such as AI coaching and expanded career tools, are marked Coming Soon and are not available yet.

What is a Founding Member?

Founding Member is $79 per year, annual only, and limited to the first 50 Founding Members when enrollment opens. Founding Members receive the same Plus access, Founding Member recognition, and opportunities to help shape the platform as it grows.

How do I manage my subscription?

Plus memberships are coming soon. Free membership and the current Free Mission Plan features are available now, so there is no subscription to manage yet. Once paid memberships open, you will manage them from the billing section of your Account, including payment details, plan changes, and cancellation.

Can I cancel?

There is nothing to cancel right now — Plus memberships are coming soon and no one is being charged. When paid memberships open, you will be able to cancel from your Account at any time, keep Plus access through the end of the paid billing period, and it will not renew afterwards.

What happens to my information if I cancel?

Cancelling or downgrading does not delete your Mission Plan, task progress, saved resources, or other stored member information simply because the subscription ended. Premium functionality becomes restricted according to the plan rules — for example, tasks beyond the free preview become read-only rather than being removed.

Can I resubscribe later?

Plus memberships are coming soon, so no memberships have started or ended yet. Once they open, you can start a membership again from Account and eligible premium functionality becomes available as soon as the subscription is active.

What information does Transition Allies collect?

For members, we collect account details such as your name and email address, the answers you give in the Mission Assessment, your Mission Plan and task progress, saved resources, and your preferences. We also keep limited operational records needed to run the service securely, such as sign-in activity and, for paid members, subscription status from our payment processor. We do not store payment-card numbers.
